Donations made to Prashant Boddh Foundation are generally considered final and non-refundable. However, we understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. Please review this policy carefully.

1. General Policy

Prashant Boddh Foundation is a registered charitable organization. Donations made through our platform are considered voluntary contributions to support our charitable activities and programs. As such, donations are generally non-refundable once the payment has been processed successfully.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Technical Errors: If a donation was processed due to a technical error on our part or payment gateway failure
  • Duplicate Transactions: If the same donation was charged multiple times due to system error
  • Unauthorized Transactions: If your payment method was used without your authorization (subject to verification)
  • Campaign Cancellation: If a specific campaign you donated to is cancelled before funds are utilized

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after donation is processed
  • Disagreement with how funds are being used (for general donations)
  • Personal financial circumstances
  • Donations made more than 30 days ago (except for technical errors)
  • Donations where the donor has already received tax benefits

4. Refund Request Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction (or within 30 days for technical errors) with the following information:

  • Your full name and email address used for donation
  • Transaction ID or payment reference number
  • Date and amount of donation
  • Reason for refund request

4.2 Refund Review Process

All refund requests will be reviewed by our team within 5-7 business days. We may contact you for additional information if needed. Refund decisions are made at our sole discretion based on the circumstances of each case.

5.1 Processing Time

If your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used
  • You will receive email confirmation once the refund is processed

5.2 Refund Method

Refunds will be processed through the same payment gateway (Razorpay) and credited back to your original payment method. The time taken for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider (typically 5-10 business days).

6. Recurring Donations

For recurring donations:

  • You can cancel future recurring donations at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation of recurring donations does not entitle you to a refund of past donations
  • Once cancelled, no further charges will be made

7. Tax Implications

If you have claimed tax deductions for your donation and receive a refund, you are responsible for:

  • Informing the relevant tax authorities about the refund
  • Adjusting your tax returns accordingly
  • Returning any tax benefits received due to the donation
